Mountain Shadows

Paradise Valley, Arizona

Mountain Shadows reemerged as the local icon of luxury and sophistication in 2017, following the complete rebuild of the original circa 1959 resort. Located at the foot of Camelback Mountain in Paradise Valley, the resort exudes all the energy of its premier southwest desert setting.

The O’odham Course

Round 1 – Talking Stick Golf Club

Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw demonstrate their own high art of course design at the O’odham Course. Mown tight year-round, O’odham plays hard and fast over subtle contours that require a discerning eye to negotiate successfully.

The Saguaro Course

Round 2 – We-Ko-Pa Golf Club

Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw are not only good at what they do, at times they are lucky as well. Gifted with one of the top five pieces of property in the State of Arizona, they have produced an exhillerating thrill-ride called Saguaro.

The Short Course

Round 3 – Mountain Shadows Resort

Originally built in 1961, Arthur Jack Snyder’s layout has been updated by acolyte Forrest Richardson in a manner that pays homage to the storied traditions of its long legacy, while creating a thorough test of a players shot-making skills.
